De Prettilicious Product Review: Pro Blending Sponges and Lashes

If you’ve been keeping up with my posts for the past couple of months you will know skincare is very important to me. I care for my skin a lot because for a while, my skin was in outrageous condition, acne, blemishes, etc. Just a quick update, it’s almost been a month since I’ve been done with my Accutane regimen and my skin is practically flawless. I know, I know… so humble of me to say my skin is flawless but even without ALL this makeup on, my skin is blemish and acne free.  I’m so happy with my decision to go on it and if you all want me to go more in depth about my skin, post Accutane, let me know and I will be glad to do so.

In order to have flawless makeup you need to have two things: a healthy, smooth base and the technique to blend. While I have the skin down thanks to the help of Accutane, I’m still working on the blending techniques. I’m no makeup artist but having the right tools to apply makeup make it so much easier. De Prettilicious, an online company which is ran through Amazon had sent me a bundle of items a while ago. The bundle included: 5 Makeup Pro Makeup Blender Sponges, a set of 10 pairs of lashes and two Kongac sponges. If you’ve seen my Instagram, I posted a couple of photos where I did my makeup using the blending sponges and also applied the lashes on my most recent looks. I haven’t used the Konjac Sponges just yet but the lashes and Pro Sponges definitely didn’t disappoint so I’m excited to try out the products!

The Pro Beauty Blending Sponges are fabulous. Five various sponges come in a pack and retail for $16.80. Each sponge has a different ergonomic shape that is used for various blending techniques that I will list below:

You can use these sponges just like the Beauty Blender, dry or wet. I find that when I use the sponges dry, it soaks up all my LIQUID makeup which is the last thing anyone wants. I like the finish it gives wet, so I leave it at that. If I’m setting my makeup that day with powders, I will use it dry. I’ve actually never used a powder with a wet sponge and don’t think I plan on it. It works like a charm when you press powder into the skin, leaving a flawless finish, especially Banana Powder.  The quality of the sponges are great, they are latex free and are rich in Vitamin E which is revitalizing for the skin! It took me some time getting used to because the texture is harder than the Beauty Blender. Playing around with looks until I learned how to manipulate them made me realize I love these sponges! Christmas is right around the corner ya’ll, they will make the PERFECT stocking stuffers for any girl!

Let’s talk lashes. I LOVE fake lashes so much but don’t get to wear them on the daily. I recreated some looks and decided to lash up with this set. For my Loverly Collaboration with the Indian Bridal look, I used the top lashes which were dramatic. In my opinion, these lashes pulled the entire look together. In some of my other posts with a more natural look, I used the fourth and fifth lashes down. I honestly thought these would be plastic-y and would slid off my lashes after some time. They were FABULOUS! I am an eyelash fanatic and would wear them everyday if I had the patience but let’s get real, no one has time for that. These lashes retail for $12.80 which is an amazing price for a set of 10. You’ve probably seen these pictures of my makeup done with the Pro Blending Sponges and lashes all throughout social media but in case you haven’t, just scroll down below!
